The Mistress Collection
The York-based Mistress Collection design and hand-create every wedding gown to suit the individuality of each bride. Working in rich silks each dress is developed with the bride-to-be from design to completion to ensure it's their dream dress and gives that perfect fit. Gowns can utilise steel boned corsetry for that hour-glass figure, and are produced in a range of colours and styles.
It is important for the designers at the Mistress Collection that each dress is created as an original so you will be asked about your wedding inspiration, what you feel comfortable in and what you feel suits you, your figure and your day. Dresses are usually created over a six to nine month period with fittings done in York, although shorter time scales are possible if required.
All brides are invited to a complimentary photo-shoot with Jim Poyner Photography to document their dress prior to the big event.
Bridesmaid and flower-girl dresses can also be created to compliment the bride.

The Mistress Collection also produce handmade silk lingerie, including the silk side-tie Mistress Knickers and garters - perfect for the wedding night, and silk loungewear for elegant honeymoon attire. Available to order through their website, the Knickers can also be embroidered with the bride’s new married name or a special message - for his eyes only!
