Allison Daniel and Lisa Hogg have combined their communication and management experience, industry contacts and a successful template to present ‘The Wedding Affair’, a planning and management company organising both wedding fairs and weddings to take place at exclusive venues across Yorkshire.
Our Fairs enable brides and grooms-to-be to recognise a well planned and executed fair where they will receive plenty of information about wedding services and products from high quality exhibitors and exclusive venues in the Yorkshire area.
Brides will be able to talk to exhibitors and receive information via our Gift Bags and A5 Booklet together with details on our informative website.
Our Fairs aim to be informative, interactive and a fun day out for all concerned. We offer all our bridal guests entry into our bridal competition, a ground breaking 'Man Creche', working fun casino, entertainment, demonstrations and the ability to watch a roaming catwalk show.
We have excellent links with local wedding suppliers and as such, expect that demand to exhibit with The Wedding Affair is high. We therefore decide in advance how many exhibitors of each area will be allowed. In the event that a venue has a preferred supplier, we will of course offer them a place first, if they meet the level of standards we ask of our wedding exhibitors. We will limit the amount of suppliers in each area in order to allow competition but not to overwhelm one supplier area, this generally does not exceed 4 in each category.
Although it is our responsibility to organise and pay for the advertising for the event, we do request that you as exhibitors and venues assist us by informing all potential brides and visitors you have, that the event is taking place. This includes brides and grooms who have already booked your services. We will provide you with written details in order that you can hand out or verbally give your brides and visitors details of the event including invitations, posters, e-mails etc.
Our web site address will be displayed on banners outside the venue and on all printed advertising material. We will ensure a link from our website to your website and we would appreciate a reciprocal link in order to ensure we advertise the event to a wide range of visitors. We will use a diverse range of media including; local press, radio, leaflet distribution, magazines, banners, the web and The Wedding Guide magazine, which distributes 22,000 free copies in Yorkshire alone over the year. We will take out a series of adverts in the local press, generally over a two week period prior to the event. Press releases are included wherever possible. We will also send out personal invitations to brides in the area via our extensive email list. We may use some or all of these options depending on what is appropriate for the venue and area.
